The color is usually associated with the Burgundy Wine, but we at The Fashion Folks are more interested in its function as a color (of course!). Cause let’s be honest here, as gorgeous as the color is, it comes to its full potential when it’s accompanied by the fall and its gorgeous colors. As the color is a part of our Fall Color Chart (check out the post!), it’s obviously an easily matched one with our beloved fall colors. But as we like to take things a step further, we would also like to add some lighter colors as , light pink, lavender purple, dusty rose, to its compatibility (psst, this is indeed a hint for next week’s entry Fall Meets Spring).
Except being great in color compatibility, it’s also a good one in terms of clothes and makeup. Take it from a burgundy lipcolor to an eyeshadow, to a blush and even a mascara – how gorgeous aren’t those? And in fashion terms, a burgundy coat, scarf, top or pants (or shoes!). The color is simply a flattering one and highly multifunctional! (nope, we aren’t sponsored by the color itself – unfortunately…)
