Folks, we did a post a few months ago on how to treat your skin after a rough winter. But hey, the beach life can be equally as harsh on your skin as icy weather. So we improved our post and made it more suitable for summer! Here are two treats for your skin!
Avocado
So they’re not easy to find when they’re ripe, but a perfect avocado will do the trick for you when your skin is cracking! Avocado is rich in oil and high in nutrition and that’s kind of all you need.
- Mash an avocado until it’s smooth.
- Apply where you are dry and leave it for 15 minutes.
- Clean it off with soft paper and then wash the rest of with water.
- Pssst, avocado does wonder for a sunburn!
Honey and Oat mask
This combination is both natural, eco-friendly and economic. A lovely treat for your summer skin as the honey is soothing! Honey also works as a bacterial killer and is great if you have acne, is also rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. Oats are also great for acne skin and is anti-inflammatory.
- 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of oat is all you need.
- Mix them together and apply on your face.
- Leave it for 15 minutes and then gently clean it off with water!
- Pssst, if your skin is extra dry, adding a tablespoon of natural yoghurt will do the trick!
Check out our other post on summer skin here!

I’m not sure how I could possibly use an avocado on my dry skin. I’d probably have eaten the whole avocado without even realizing it…haha! But seriously, I may have to try the avocado. They’re delicious internally and I’m sure they work pretty well on the surface of the skin as well!

My skin loves summer, mostly because it is pretty oily and gets more controlled when it is warm outside. But avocado is a treat no matter the season.
