It’s the last day of March (*insert shaking head gif*) and you know what that means? Yup time for a personal post! My lovely friend Kay (from Shoes And Glitter) tagged me in “I Heart Spring Tag” a few weeks ago. I can’t honestly say that I’m a spring enthusiast at heart, so I picked out the ones relating to beauty/fashion cause then I at least can be more genuine, lol!

Must have lip colour this spring?

I’m the worst pretend-to-be-beauty-blogger in the world as my solution to any lipstick situation is the classic red. But I do have to say that I’m looking forward to go for orange this spring. Just gotta find my perfect shade and I’ll be good to go. I think orange works with whatever red works with, which makes it a great change to the regular shade. Or I’m not alone when I say orange lips to a white top, or to a yellow dress? Like, yes?

Favourite spring dress?

If I’m going to pick one from my own closet, it’s gotta be the one I purchased last year. It’s a midi dress with slits on both sides, it’s beige in a snake print with oversized arms and quite flowy style. The waist is marked with a same colored belt. I would link to it, but it’s gone since long and I have no picture of me in it either, haha so use your imagination folks! However, if I could dream, I wouldn’t mind this one from Delpozo, isn’t it adorable?

Favourite spring accessory?

I’d say the scarf at any given day because the scarves are the heroes of all of our wardrobes. But I must say that I’ve been feeling the hat game strongly lately. So a chic fedora hat to go with any outfit is kind of a must?

What spring trends are you most excited for this year (makeup or fashion)?

This is the moment where I should answer something really specific and cool, but I honestly just want to be left alone with my monochromatic looks. Okey? Like give me an outfit of all white, or pink or klein blue or whatever and I’m here for it. I can’t stress enough how fool-proof and stylish a monochromatic outfit is, it’s effortlessly chic at its best.

Favourite spring nail polish?

White? I think at least. It goes with anything, it’s (sorry for the choice of word) FRESH and it’s bright and shining. It’s a classic but with a fun twist!

Favourite body spray or perfume for spring?

I rarely do perfume and if I do it’s DKNY’s Be Delicious. But for body spray, let’s say face mist instead and I’ve been wearing one with a slight coconut/lime scent. I don’t think it works, whatever it’s for, but I don’t mind. It smells heavily and it’s fully possible that I use it on the wrists too. *being a pro beauty blogger using face mists as perfume*.

On another note:
Folks! Catch Kay’s post and the full tag here. And as requested, another outfit post from me. Hahah, I think I keep on slaying with these mirror selfies, so why not keep the trend going, lol? We can turn this into a “monthly mirror selfie”, sounds very professional. Anyways, I wore this a few weeks ago (ignore my stone face) and I do realize that it’s more winter than spring in this one, but oh well, better luck next time!

  4. Ah this is the first time seeing you and you’re so pretty and I love your outfit as well! Anyways I never thought about an orange lip for spring but I’m loving the idea of it with the white nail polish! All of winter (I also call spring winter since over here where I am it’s still pretty damn cold!) I’ve been playing it pretty safe with my style and fashion, but once it gets warmer I think I’m ready to take more chances again!

  15. Amazing outfit 🙂 I must admit - I don’t know any fashion trends for this season but I should definitely buy some new spring/summer clothes. For lips I’ll probably choose tints in some crazy but delicate colours 🙂

    The points that you made are so good! Where do I start? First off I love many shades of lipstick and have even been known to wear black! Orange is a divine shade for summer and I can’t wait to see you incorporate it into your monochromatic looks.

    Btw, that Delpozo dress is so dreamy. I love the silhouette as it reminds me of Marie Antoinette! There is a sweater from this very same collection that I am in love with <3

    I couldn’t agree with you more about monochromatic looks. I’m frantically scouting for an all red, perfectly tailored pantsuit. I want just the most perfect, slim cigarette pant and an immaculate blazer. And I just want to wear a red fitted t-shirt underneath. That’s my new obsession. Might or might not do a coral lip with it, but I definitely love coral/orange as a lip color!

  27. I love and get so excited everytime you post a selfie of yourself! You are seriously gorgeous and I love this pattern mixing outfit you have going on! I’m totally excited to hear that orange lips will be in this spring and summer as one of my favorite lipsticks is an orange and it wasn’t the biggest color last year!

    I definitely hope to try to stay on top of the makeup trends this year but I’m definitely not very good at makeup. i tend to stick to the same look once I find one that I like for everyday lol.

  30. I love that you plan on trying orange lipstick this Spring! I’ve just start wearing my first ever coral lipstick and LOVING it; you can’t help but feel those cheerful spring/summer vibes wearing orange/coral haha. Lovely selfie by the way; gorgeous clashing of prints!

  32. First off, how good is this pattern mixing tho!? I love it! Yes to orange being a great alternative to red; I told you about my aunt and she convinced me, haha. I too am on the look out for the perfect shade. It can be hard when you have naturally pigmented lips. I used to wear an orange lip a lot a few seasons ago, but I don’t remember the brands I used. Anyway, yes to a monochromatic look, so easy and can be so fresh, especially with all white. Speaking of white, I too am loving a white mani, so clean and pretty.
