Bold Nail Designs

We know we’re constantly talking about going bold in your fashion life. Doing the crazy color combos, wearing more patterns and appreciate the value of more is more. But how about the beauty side? We do love a bold lip statement as well as some colorful eye makeup. But most of all, we love bold nail designs!

Why Bold Nail Designs

Too often nails goes by as just another part of the body. And as true and obvious that might be, nails can also be turned into the statement of an outfit. If you’re a fashion dork with love for details, or just a fan of nail designs, putting some extra effort in the nail design is a hit. Statement nails really pops in a neutral outfit. We also love the contrast between our nails and clothes, which often is more notable than what you think. And frankly speaking, the hands (nails) are the body part you probably see the most = decorate them pretty!

Nail Trends

This season we’ve seen a lot of designers elevating their nail game. Opening Ceremony did a fun chess pattern on the nails, Nanette Lepore did scratchy black and white nails. Some of the more notable statement trends are geometric nails, bold manicure but also messy and undone. Zero + Maria Cornejo did lovely messy and undone nails, which are kind of foolproof as you only mess around and don’t even finish the nail look.

Bold Nail Designs

We know that painting nails is often a tricky one and not everyone like it. It’s often hard enough to get one color right, so doing patterns on the nails gets even more frustrating. Lucikly, with a lot of practice you’ll get better and there are tons of tutorials out there for all different sort of patterns. And even better, nail stickers have exploded the last year and comes in all shapes and patterns there is. They are often quite cheap and easy to deal with too!

Folks! What are your thoughts on bold nail designs?
