Summer 2020 will definitely go down in history as the summer of dresses! Floral dresses are trending, puff sleeve dresses, slip dresses, voluminous dresses, wrap dresses, maxi, smock dresses, utility dresses and also: pastel dresses. When it comes to the pastel dresses, it’s not about a specific style but more about the color of the dress. The pastel dress 2020 is all about that lavender, baby pink, baby yellow and mint green kind of vibe.

Pastel Dress 2020
The pastel dresses are sweet, sugary, romantic and preppy! They’re commonly done with other sweet and sugary trends such as the voluminous dresses, the floral dresses and the puff sleeve dresses. As mentioned above, the pastels are mainly about pink and purple although other colors are common too. The pastel dresses are also commonly paired with prints, often florals or geometrical ones. Ruffles, bows, puff sleeves and semi-transparent details are common details!
How To Style Them
When working the pastel dress 2020, it’s important to balance the preppy style. I’m not saying that you need to add leather and denim, but contrasting with some sharp shapes, statement textures and trendy details might be a good idea. Straw accessories will embody the summer vibe, mules will add a more glam touch and sneakers will make the pastel dress more wearable. I like the idea of doing a bohemian hairdo and statement sunglasses for a more edgy look. Making it more messy and less perfected, simply put. A headband or scarf can also be chic details. As for the bag, if you own a bag in an animal print – you have to wear it! It’s something really chic with purple or pink and an animal print.
Street Style Inspiration
And some stylish looks for inspiration! The blue dress is such a gem with its pleated style. Love the colorful matching, both the bag and the shoes are so good. The mint green jumpsuit is another gem, love that it’s kept completely in focus. Love the wearability in the third look, chic with a puffy pink dress. Elegant to go for a pair of white kitten heels. The monochromatic styling in the fourth outfit is also really good, love the lavender shoes that intensifies the color of the dress. Love the luxe peach dress in the last pic, really chic with the matching shoes.

Hey Mia, hope you’re doing good!
This will be a different summer but we must not forget to bring joy with some colorful outfits, and as you I’m starting to get obsessed with pastels and I have some lemon grass yellow and lilac in my list of things to buy. I wouldn’t mind to have a suit in soft blue, this is also a garment to take a look at and even tho neutral suits will be the most classic option, I’ll definitely buy a suit in pastels *_*
Stay safe!

You know this post is right up my alley! I love pastels all year long. Even in the winter as some sort of fun accessory. How I wish that mint dress was hanging in my closet too 🙂

I love all these dresses! I especially love that pale blue shirt dress with the tie waist, it’s classic but still has a modern feel.
I love it too, such a pretty reflection of how this fashion can be done! Xx
That Bui dress is amazing! I absolutely love it! I need pastels in my wardrobe as all I wear is black and then white and baby pink during the summer. HA.
I need some change. That dress is definitely pushing me in that direction.
Great recommendations!
