I believe in making life easier and one way to do that is definitely to look at some dreamy dresses (fashion dork you know). I’ve picked out three creations from the fall 2018 couture collections. If I might say so – they’re 10/10!
Giambattista Valli
Valli is a favorite designer of mine and one I often return to for inspiration. This couture collection of fall 2018 wasn’t perhaps one of his best, but there were definitely some stylish looks that embodies the very idea of couture. This neon pink tulle dream is bold in its color, its fabric and volume. Sans details though it feels rather wearable and more like a fun pop of energy than a fashion challenge. I like the youthfulness in the dress too, neon always adds a favorable energy but so can also tulle when done right. Also, how fun aren’t those shoes to this dress? Adore this! (Full collection here)
Givenchy
Fair enough that this might be a skirt and top combination, but let’s call it a dress – shall we? If you want an idea of what a futuristic fashion with an evening wear touch can look like – this will be it (sort of). The balance of the defined shoulders, the dramatic cape and the icy colors create that empowering futuristic look. The choice of three colors (black, silver and blue), works well to keep the dynamic in the outfit. The different textures of the two blacks is another detail that’s favorable. This look is probably the most wearable one I’ve chosen out of the three as the top plus the cape can be really chic with a pair of black pants, whilst the blue skirt with a simple tee also could make it more wearable. I know it’s couture though, but perhaps a nice dose of inspiration at least? (Full collection here)
Elie Saab
Saab is another favorite of mine, or perhaps an old favorite to be correct. Though I adore his aesthetic it’s been done for quite some time now and how he takes on other styles would be an interesting refreshment for the brand. However, few designers knows how to make wearable, likable and stylish dresses like Saab. This dark copper red dress is no exception to that and it honestly gives all the fall vibes you want. I do like the flow of the fabric too, which gives that flower-effect, but I do think the core of the outfit is the color. It’s deep, it’s unusual and it’s not too often you see it for evening wear either. Much alike the first look, stylish to match with same colored shoes! (Full collection here)
Folks! Which one of these three dresses from the fall 2018 couture shows is your favorite? Let’s chat in the comments! Xx

Hahah neither do I, but one can always dream! Xx
I have to agree with you. All these creations are dazzling! I love color of the first, mix of textures in the second, and incredibly beautiful ruffles of the third!
Love the mix of those elements too, just so so pretty! Xx
A sunning selection. I love the pink dress so much but would take more inspo from the Givenchy colours and textures to create my own look. Have a great week.
