  1. This is a useful post! I know how to pronounce them because I’m french so no merits there. However, nobody should make fun of a bad pronunciation (let’s be honest french we are terrible with our accent ahahah). I can’t barely listen to myself, it’s too painful 🙂

    1. Hahah, well congratulations that you can speak and pronounce some of the hardest but best fashion designers that are out there! No one should, it’s the effort that counts and some of the names are so far away from the native tongue! Xx

  2. Literally I loved this post! I never know how to say half of the names of designers! It’d mean a lot if you could check out my blog and maybe follow back 🙂 Much love Holly xo

  3. This is actually a very useful post! For the longest time, I used to completely mis-pronounce YSL and Givenchy… I looked up proper pronunciations more when I got into collecting fragrances, and wanted to make sure I say them correctly. x Never knew you say Moschino like that tho… Interesting! Thanks for sharing. 🙂 <3

    1. It’s so much fun though to learn how to pronounce and also realize how wrong you’ve been hahah! Learned recently too that Moschino is no sscchh sound but with a proper c like in screen but Mosceeno! Xx

  4. Haha. I know how to pronounce these names already, but I LOVED how you spelled them. So helpful for those who see the names, but never really hear someone say them! Most people who see a dress they like don’t really hear the names pronounced first. Givenchy and Lanvin were ones I pronounced wrong for awhile until I heard it on the Fashion Television. lol

    1. Hahah thank you for noticing it, hahah I did try my best but sometimes it just sounds better in the head! Seeing the letters in right combo and also have the name clear in the head is hopefully a helpful way on learning how to pronounce! Hahah same here, so fun though! Xx

  5. This is such an incredibly helpful post and one that I’ll be bookmarking for sure! The worst is when you’re asking for assistance while shopping in search of one of these designers, and you have no clue how to pronounce it and they look at you with such confusion (happened to me a number of times, haha!). Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you’re having a great day so far!

    1. That’s so sweet of you, your support means so much Jalisa! Hahah it’s just too awkward, or when you’re having a conversation with a fashionable person and you’re just throwing out a name and hoping for the best and the person have no idea of who you’re talking about! Xx

  6. I love that fashion has so many French designers and influences–I studied French in college so I can pronounce those! The others I never know though, so thanks for the help!
