Folks! It’s time for part 2 of the highlights from the fashion weeks February 2021. I did a part one two weeks ago and highlighted some fashionable looks. As there are more looks that I’d like to talk about in-depth, here’s a part 2:
Fashion Weeks February 2021
MSGM Fall 2021
I love this pink and purple history from MSGM! Such an awkward color combination as well as fabric match! The ribbed dress with the leather boots is also a good combination. I think this look is quite trend-sensitive, with the dress, the shoes and the colors being a reflection of the current trends. This doesn’t make it less chic however, but make sure to recreate it with the things you already own. A fitted patterned dress with matching boots could do. If you don’t like the chunky boots, you could go for a more preppy look by choosing kitten heels, sandals or ballerinas.
Badgley Mischka 2021
How about some glam sequins? Well, this blazer and pants combination from Badgley Mischka is such a good one if you ask me. I looooove the loose fit of the clothes and the glam look of the gold sequins and floral pattern. It has a sort of semi-brocade pattern which often is associated with luxury and old royalty, so that adds to the glam look as well. I think that going for a glam set is a superb alternative to dresses! Really chic to work it without a top, although the look is not the easiest to pull off. A simple black body could be used instead, or why not a red wine one?
Ulla Johnson Fall 2021
If you’re an avid reader of this site, you know that my love for Ulla Johnson is only growing. She can definitely be described as a more preppy and American version of Isabel Marant, with a mix of knitwear, patterns, fringes, boots and voluminous sleeves. Her collections often have a lot of folklore references too. This knitted dress is so perfectly layered with the white dress under. I love how sculpted the sleeves are, and how the slit of the dress creates a more harmonic layering with the dress under. I also love the boots, which adds that nice fall touch. If you own a longer knitted dress, try layering it up with a maxi/midi skirt or dress the next time. You won’t be disappointed. You can go for sneakers or flats if you want a more easy look.
Carolina Herrera Fall 2021
Another thing you’ll probably know by now is my love for voluminous mini dresses! Especially if they’re done as LBD. This Carolina Herrera dress is absolutely gorgeous with the heavy A-silhouette and the layered fabrics. I think the circle patterns creates a more dynamic look, but keeps it subtle and refined. I think it would’ve been fun to work this look with a pair of boots or a set of chunky sneakers. But the glam shoes definitely works for a luxury night out, but who remembers those night anyway!? Lol!
Folks! What are your thoughts on these highlights? Which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below! Xx
