Fashion in Cannes 2016

We’re still not sure if we’ve recovered from the spectacular fashion of the Met Gala that took place in beginning of May. But we have no choice to move on as the film festival in Cannes is happening as we speak. If we can make a fashion recap? Of course we Can(nes)! Folks, here is the fashion in Cannes 2016:

Buzz of Cannes

For starters, what are people talking about? What is breaking the internet? Well, the look at the moment that fashion in cannes 2016everyone is buzzing about is Bella Hadid’s gorgeous red carpet look. The model wore a red dress from Alexandre Vauthier. A chic, yet minimalistic look that will go down to history as a classic! Another red dress from the same brand that’s gotten attention was the one Rosie Huntingon-Whiteley pulled off. Incredible chic with an open back and a slight resemblance to Nicole Kidman’s well-remembered Oscars dress a few years ago!

Trends  of Cannes

Except the red dresses going well (pssst, we spotted Kate Moss in one too!), some metallics, florals and black dresses have been spotted as well. Blake Lively pulled off a golden Versace dress the other day and looked stunning with the discrete cutouts! Helen Mirren looked gorgeous in a black lace dress and so did  Soo Joo Park! A blue and white floral combo did Jourdan Dunn pull off, equally as stunning in a blue and white floral combo as well, was model Liu Wen!

Our fashion picks at Cannes

Besides the carpet looks mentioned, we loved Barbara Palvin’s stunning white lace dress with a feeling of summer! Another look of summer was Kirsten Dunst’s gorgeous white dress and old Hollywood locks that were pulled together by her red lips. Toni Garn wore another genius red carpet look, also with a feeling of golden old Hollywood. Her black dress with a high slits and her red lips were both fierce and perfect to the minimalistic dress!

  1. I have to admit I’m not hugely into things like the Met Gala or film festivals but I always see so many posts about the fashion, it’s hard not to have a few favorites! Love the dress on Jourdan Dunn though, haven’t seen that one yet!
