Beauty Resolutions 2021

I wrote an article about fashion resolutions 2021 yesterday, so today it’s time for an article on beauty resolutions 2021! You can find last year’s article here and more beauty inspiration here

Beauty Resolutions 2021

One thing to do is to make your routine more sustainable. I know, it’s easy to rely on cotton pads and makeup wipes, but there are sustainable alternatives out there! For example, you can buy reusable cotton pads, and you can get into the routine of not using makeup wipes. Other ways you can choose a more sustainable beauty life is to choose eco-friendly and cruelty-free products. Although it hasn’t become mainstream yet, more and more nail polishes are becoming eco-friendly. Definitely something to have a look at!

Play With Makeup

It’s also a great idea to push your makeup boundaries this year. Have fun and experiment more with makeup. It doesn’t have to be that crazy, it can just be about trying a new lip color, adding more color to your eyeshadow or try a new makeup technique! There are so many useful and fun tricks and tips out there when it comes to improving your makeup, so go ahead and explore some of them! You don’t need to do everything at once, but focus on area you want to change this year and make it happen.

Realistic Routine

A beauty routine is often partly functional and partly “I do it because it feels nice”, but can we please take some of the pressure off? Yes, it’s trendy to have a 10 step or 25 step routine, but don’t forget to make it work for you! If your skin is happy with only two or three steps, then let it be! Also, be sure to do your research before purchasing new beauty products. Ask yourself, do I want this because my skin needs it or do I want it because the sake of it? Believe me, if there was one miracle product or technique out there that would change the game forever – everyone would know about it and everyone would do it. So yes, only because one person has some results with one product, it doesn’t mean that everyone is going to have it. Make sure to have a realistic routine that’s intentional and useful.

  1. Hey Mia!

First of all hope you’re doing good! It was good to come back to your blog after a short pause, I hope that you enjoyed the holiday days and I’m waiting for more good content at The Fashion Folks!

I love to talk about beauty and skincare and I would love to publish more content related to this topic. For me this is a truly motivation to keep up with my routine and modify certain aspects of it. Sustanaibility is something I’m trying to add to the products I get, but let’s say this is hard and a research has to be done in order to get the best products.

And yes, keeping a realistic routine is better instead of following the routine with 11 steps…. Focusing on the ingredients and in consistency is the best for our skins!

    Happy new year!

    1. So true! And how annoying isn’t it that sustainable and cruelty-free beauty is something that has to be researched and not something that is just the majority? I really hope that we in a few years will take sustainable skincare “for granted”. And yes about the ingredients. I like Hyram’s approach that the ingredients don’t lie! Xx
