3 Summer Fashion No-no 2021

Folks! Summer 2021 is going strong, and I have mainly three big summer no-no I’d like to share with you today. I mean, why dress wrong when you can dress right (riiighhtt)? Here are three summer fashion no-no 2021!

Fashion No-no 2021

Uncomfortable Shoes

The first thing is to wear uncomfortable shoes; just don’t! Always make sure that you have a pair of summer shoes that are comfortable to wear and that you can walk for hours in. Yes, kitten heels and flats look so cute with a dress, but a pair of gladiator sandals or some sneakers are way more comfortable. Or, go for a pair of chunky sandals so you have proper support for your feet!

Non-breathable Materials

Cotton and linen are two superb materials for summer! So if you’re out and about on a hot summer’s day, make sure that you choose clothes in this material. You can also ofc go for loose clothes, such as A-line silhouettes or empire!

Transparent Skirts/Dresses

If there’s only one clothing piece you should invest in, it’s an underskirt. The underskirt will save you from transparent skirts/dresses, and you won’t have to be worried about showing your underwear. I’ve had my skirt for over 10 years now and I wear it weekly during the summer. It’s a fashion must!

Folks! What are your biggest fashion no-no 2021? Let’s chat in the comments below! Xx

  1. Hello Mia, hope you’re having a lovely week!

First of all thanks for stopping at the blog and leaving a comment! I promise I’ll try to bring more outfits, thanks for the compliment and for the support!

Oooh and such an interesting way of talking about summer fashion, we always hear what we should really do but we tend to forget about the NO’s and sometimes when you just avoid those points you’ll have a really nice look.

Probably the one that resonates me the most is the second one, breathable clothes are key to survive summer, specially if you live in humid areas, that happens a lot in Barcelona. Even things that look like a summer garment are really hard to wear, like transparent stuff or things that look “light”. I try to use cotton and linen (or blending of both) as much as possible!

Have a lovely week Mia 🙂
